De Zuid
Located in Hilversum, De Zuid spans 204 hectares of nature, featuring forest, heath, ponds, and old sand pits. Once an open heath, the area was planted with pine forest after World War II. It has since reverted to heath to support sun- and warmth-loving wildlife. Dogs are allowed on a leash, except in the southern part where they may roam freely (under control with an apple).
