Bussummerheide
Bussummerheide, together with the Westerheide, is the largest heathland in the Gooi region. The area features burial mounds, ancient sand roads, and archaeological finds from the Stone Age. The heath is home to rare birds such as the field lapwing and the red-backed shrike. It is connected to other nature areas via the Natuurbrug Zanderij Crailoo. Dogs are allowed within designated zones.
